Extend my ensuite please

Prior to deciding on what & where I was going to build I had decided that I would not be too fussy.  My house I had just sold was built in the 1950s or 60s & in need of some renovations, so moving into a newly built house should be exciting enough, but no. Fussy I became. I went back down to the display villages & thought good & hard about what was important to me. 2 things came to mind. A good size shower in the ensuite, ample robes & butlers pantry.

The Kalarney 22 has WI robes in the bedrooms. I asked Darren abut upgrading o a larger shower & he hoped me to other bathroom options and in the end I upgraded the shower to a massive  900 x 1600 & added a bath, this options see the toilet taken out of the ensuite & given its own room. Unfortunately I didn't get the butlers pantry.

Very excited about the upgraded ensuite.

Why Metricon?

Why Metricon?
I had two musts when it came to choosing a block to build on, decent location & the block needed to be around 600sq. The house I had just sold was around 1000sq and I found it difficult to maintain the lawns and gardens. I wanted a block that could accommodate a medium size house with just enough room for a small entertaining area/garden. Luckily almost immediately I found a block literally around the corner in a new estate that was 568sq.

Whilst in the process of seen if here were any other suitable blocks I went down to Armstrong creek to have a look at the display village there. If you haven't been, go. Allow all day and wear a good pair of walking shoes. Another block that was coming up for sale was advertised as a house and led package which included the Metricon Santorini an there was one on display at the village so it made sense to check it out. Unfortunately it was not to my taste, nothing wrong with it but just not my taste. Maybe it was just the colouring & I know that shouldn't matter but first impressions d last. I did although get talking to Darren from Metricon and we looked at plans hat may fit on the 568sq block. As you will see, it was a little harder to find a suitable plan. I needed up after much looking and contemplating options deciding to purchase the block and pick the Metricon Kalarney.
